Covid affected Aishworya just like it did the rest of the world. School stopped and the children had to stay inside.
We had to make sure education continued, so we provided IT equipment for all the children we were supporting so that everyone could learn online.
It was a hard time, but by 2022 we saw things returning to normal. Schools opened fully with no more online classes. The children were very happy to get back to regular school! And like all children in Nepal, our children have got their COVID-19 vaccine.
As things are back to normal, Nepal has also lifted all restrictions. From mid-2022, Nepal saw many tourists returning to the country, which was so welcome. Tourism is one of the most important income sources for Nepal.
One of the highlights of this year is that Pooja (18) has passed her higher secondary exam. We’re so proud of her. She is now moving on to tertiary education to study accounting and we know she will do well.
We thank all our friends for their consistent support, love and care. Together, we’re helping our children like Pooja reach bright futures.
